At Salford SU we strive to socially connect and empower you as students within an inclusive university environment. We want you to feel valued and equipped with the tools to overcome any barriers to your learning that you might encounter over your degree.
Guess what? When you enroll at the beginning of your degree you automatically become a member of Salford SU!
We operate as a student led approach (meet our officer team), driven by your needs as members, and we work alongside the university as a separate organisation committed to creating meaningful change during your time as a student.
We put on events throughout the year, we are who to come to if you want to try a sport or meet new friends through joining a society group. We are also there to offer support whenever you need it during your time at Salford through our Advice and Wellbeing services.
Think of us as your team cheering you on in every corner throughout your student journey!
For regular updates follow us on Instagram, learn more about student life through our news channel, and pop by to say hello when you’re next in University House where we are based (including our Coffee Hut and Atmosphere)!

Contact us and Feedback
Do you think there is something we could be doing better? Or maybe you would like to let us know about something we've done well? You can send your feedback to us by emailing: students-union@salford.ac.uk.
Submit a complaint
We want to make sure your voice is heard at all times.
We have a code of conduct in place which applies to all SU members. This outlines:
- The types of complaints which Salford SU will deal with
- The time limit within which a complaint can be made
- The process used for dealing with the complaint
All complaints should be made in writing and emailed directly to students-union@salford.ac.uk. Please ensure that you have read through the procedure document and are clear about the process. When writing your complaint, please include as many details as possible to help us to deal with it effectively.

Please note that the Students' Union also has HR policies and procedures which relate to staff rather than students. If you have feedback or need to speak to someone about a complaint that does not relate to a student, you can contact Lauren, our Director of Advocacy, in the first instance on l.beckett1@salford.ac.uk
