Being an ambassador has been an absolute blast! The friendly atmosphere made it so easy for us to connect. I’m so thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had so far, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. This role has taught me so much about the challenges and stories students face, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to hear their amazing experiences. It’s been such an important milestone for me - not just in helping other university students but in my own personal growth. I’ve had opportunities I never imagined and made changes I never thought were possible!

Working as an Equity Ambassador has been such a rewarding experience so far. I have met so many incredible people and have had many interesting conversations. Learning about the experiences of others and addressing my own biases has been crucial to my personal development.

As an Equity Ambassador for the past year, I’m proud our team has gathered feedback from over 1,700 students. I’ve enjoyed working with a diverse team that truly cares about student equity. As students ourselves, we understand the challenges our peers face, and this makes our work more meaningful. This role has given me opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. I’m excited to see how our work will drive change that improves the student experience at Salford.

It’s been amazing so far! I’ve met so many fantastic people and had amazing opportunities networking, and actively trying to make a change in our university to make it fair and just for all. It’s a privilege to be learning about equity, diversity and inclusion and passing it on to my peers to make our university a better place.

Being an EA has been wonderful so far. I have had the opportunity to meet a variety of different people that share the same passion as me. It is nice to work with a diverse team of people, I’ve learned so many new things a long the way and can not wait to learn some more. My confidence overall has also grown in such a short period of time!!

Being an EA has enabled me to step out of my comfort zone and push myself. It’s a fulfilling experience which has enabled me to contribute to the voice of students as well as improvement that needs to be done at the University of Salford. It has also made me appreciate the fact that our differences make us unique and that no past experience is useless. I work with amazing people who I can laugh with, cry with and most importantly feel like I belong.

Being an equity ambassador has given more confidence in myself. It has given me more confidence to speak to high up people within the university, at meeting and raise an issue. It has made me able to be a voice for people who feel unheard
