About Us

The University of Salford Swimming Club was originally established in Salford in 2009, by a few enthusiasts. We cater for all standards of swimmers; both recreational and competitive. Since our establishment, the club has grown exponentially, attracting top level swimmers.

Our Monday session sees USSC utlitse a top-level swimming coach, who coaches our competitve swimmers for the competitions throughout the year.

USSC has been a mainstay within the Student Union over recent years, and has now grown to the most successful BUCS teams on campus! Whether you are a competitive or recreational swimmer, you will fit right in at USSC! While our club has an open-door policy, our minimum requirements are that those who join are capable of swimming. Our activities include training three times a week, with our competitive session being coached by an ASA Qualified coach. Our competitive sessions involve the teaching of a wide variety of training drills and a special focus on preparing the team for upcoming competition fixtures. Our casual sessions involve informal coaching and sets drafted by our competitive swimmers with a vast amount of swimming experience...
