About us -.
We are the University of Salford American Football team (Salford Storm)! The club was formed in 2017 as a place for fans of the NFL and College football to come together and share their love for the sport. Since then, we have built a fully operational football program, with over 55 Players and 15+ Coaches registered in our 24/25 season. During which we successfully qualified to enter BUCS competition for the first time in the teams history.
As we prepare for this exciting new challenge, we are always actively recruiting new players to join us and be part of our ever-growing history. There is no experience required and we accept all ability levels. Whether you are a fan of the NFL and want to give the sport a go or if you are involved in another sport and want to see what American Football is all about, we have a place for you!
We offer kit rental as part of your membership and have experienced coaches in every position who will help you in every step of the way as you learn and progress within the sport.
We hold socials, NFL watch parties and other events which will allow you to really get to know you teammates and potentially make lifelong friends in the process! We offer a safe and nurtuting environment for you to meet new people, develop your abilities and make the most out of your University experience!
Training -
Our training is held at the David Lewis Sports Ground on Main Campus (close to the SU and Sports Centre)
We are on field 8-10 every Thursday during term time as well as holding team classroom sessions on campus in the hour before. Fixtures are to be held on Sundays throughout the next academic year.
