The Equity Ambassadors are a team of passionate students who are dedicated to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion at the University of Salford. The ambassadors are here to share your voices and create positive change!

Who are the Equity Ambassadors?

The Equity Ambassador Project, created by Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor of EDI, Pradeep Passi, is a student-led project that seeks to gain students insights in relations to the EDI Statement of Ambition goals.

In October 2023, the Equity Advocates Lead and Equity Ambassadors kickstarted the project as the ambassadors introduced their presence on campus. The Equity Ambassadors play a vital role as they are partners and co-creators of this project. They are also social researchers where they collect primary data from students about their university experience.

The Equity Ambassadors are students who come from marginalised groups and have similar shared experiences as the wider student population.

The project has been funded for 3 years and the main goal of this project is to deliver equity at Salford from 2023-2028 for all students and staff.
