The Student Misconduct Procedure covers a wide range of activities, including misuse of social media, academic misconduct, aggressive behaviour, and misuse of university property. Depending on the seriousness of the case, it may be dealt with informally or progress to a formal stage, involving a School level hearing or a University Student Misconduct Panel. Possible outcomes can include written undertakings, warnings, fines, suspension, withdrawal of academic credit or award, and expulsion.
The Students Union Advice Centre can support you throughout the process. You can book to speak to an advisor.
You can also find more information about the Student Misconduct procedure on the University's website.
